~ ABOUT OUR SCHOOL ~
Our Teacher Services
We offer teachers the opportunity to sign up for our Teacher tots service. This provides the following weeks free of charge to teachers who will be keeping their children home during school breaks.
- 10 full weeks of Summer
- 2 full weeks Christmas break
- One week of spring break
Charges are the same for partial weeks during breaks.
Mother’s Hours Program
Because a major portion of money from childcare goes to paying staff, we offer a discount to families who schedule for their children to be in daycare less than nine hours per day, during certain hours. Ask about this program if you child will be in care no earlier than 7:30 AM and no later than 4:30 PM.
Part-time and Drop in Care
We offer part-time and drop in care on an as available basis. Our full-time families are our first priority. All necessary paperwork must be submitted in order to use part-time or drop in care. Families who contract for part-time care are required to submit a schedule by Friday of each week for the following week, and this schedule cannot be altered without the director’s OK.
We maintain an open door policy for parents. This means that you are free to come through our front doors at any time to observe your child. This privilege does have limitations. Here are the rules for drop-by visits.
- You may not remove your child from the class unless you have pre-arranged the pick-up. Our teachers are not responsible for keeping children’s schedules, so if you are picking up your child to take him to lunch and are bringing him back this needs to be communicated to our office ahead of time.
- Although we encourage you to come and observe your child with the other children and staff, please be mindful that it is confusing and upsetting for your child if you come in, play with them, and then leave. When you show up your child thinks that he/she is going home. Please observe from a spot where your child can continue to play without having their schedule disrupted.
- Signing in and out is always required
What you provide:
Each child is required to have a spare outfit (2 for infants), any medications needed and a car seat when requested. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD’S ENTIRE BELONGINGS ARE WELL MARKED. Parents are expected to bring clothes suitable for the weather, including coats and gloves during the winter and shoes year round for children over 1 year of age. Parents will also provide all the necessary paperwork for the State.
