~ Our Staff ~ |
| |
We are blessed with an
incredible staff at both of our centers. We begin our
screening process by separating out the applications from
individuals with experience, education and certifications in
child related areas. |
| |
After we find the right kind of
candidate, we start the screening process. Every applicant
is background checked before we sit down with them. During
interviews, we discuss their opinions about discipline,
guidance and education, to make sure they are in line with
ours. |
| |
The next step in the process is
a complete physical, TB test and drug screen. We use the DOT
drug screen and do random testing throughout the year. |
| |
Finally, we match the applicant
with the right age group for their training and expertise.
For example, we want a licensed elementary education teacher
in our pre-k room, not an infant room. |
| |
Once an employee is hired, we
begin putting them through rigorous training. There is food
program training, in-house policy training, CPR, First Aid,
Mandatory Reporter and Universal Precautions. |
| |
Then we move on to age
appropriate training, which includes professional infant and
toddler caregiver training for infant/toddler teachers and
Creative Curriculum training for Ages 2-5. For staff that
take the initiative to do extra training we have bonuses and
raises for each training level achieved. |
| |
We value our staff. We offer
them greatly reduced childcare, vacation and holiday pay and
other benefits. |
