~ OUR PRESCHOOL~
Applications are being accepted now for the 2009/2010 School Year.
Our preschool age cutoff is simple. The day your child turns 3, they can enroll in our 3 class. The day they turn 4, they can move to the 4 class. We are not obsessed with excluding children based on a number (Sept. 15th). We want your child to be involved with older children, so that they model the older children's skills and learn on an advanced learning curve by staying constantly challenged. We do not accept children into preschool who are not toilet trained to the point of less than one accident per week |
3 Year Old Program
Our 3 year old program is designed for 3-4 year olds. It concentrates on learning pre reading and pre math, social skills, early science and self esteem building.
We use wonderful programs to include Brite Music, Hooked on Phonics and a specially designed curriculum which encourages children to learn by doing.
Every week includes reading 3 new books, doing 3 new science experiements, playing math and reading games, learning about issues such as safety, kindness, honesty and other character counts principals.
The three year old program is 2 days per week, either morning or afternoon.
4-5 Year Old Program
Our 4-5 year old program is 3 days per week and can be morning, afternoon or full day. We have a separate lesson set for AM and PM, so children enrolled for a full day are exposed to twice as much learning in the same week. We usa all of the same programs in our 3 class, and add other programs to include Saxon Math and Calvert Pre-K materials.
We evaluate applications and conduct interviews throughout the year. Contact us to receive an application or schedule an interview. We can also arrange a tour of campus and introduce prospective students and their parents to members of our administration We place children in a class based on their skill level, not their date of birth. We run our preschool based on the school year schedule of the West Des Moines schools, and we match our breaks to theirs.
We offer wrap around care for parents who work for an additional charge.
